Are Maths classes not much fun these days? Are you feeling overwhelmed? Perhaps you are worried about upcoming Maths assessments. Or trying to get back into Maths as a mature-aged student. Perhaps your university course requires Statistics and you are struggling. Or perhaps you just want to do better at Maths.if you can't remember how to solve a particular type of maths problem, then it possibly didn't make sense to you at the time. Let's tackle "making sense".
Being good at Maths requires a good understanding of mathematical concepts, and the ability to recognise patterns in different types of problems. Maths can sometimes be challenging because it continually builds on what has been learned before. Sometimes the student hasn't fully understood those earlier building blocks. Often the student doesn't see the links between different Maths topics. For the overwhelmed student, Maths may start to seem like a "bunch of formulas" rather than a meaningful system. This is when individual help from an experienced teacher can be invaluable.
I have been teaching mathematical-type subjects for 30 years, and am passionate about teaching, particularly about helping students to become confident in their abilities and to achieve deep learning. Since each student has her or his own unique issues with Maths, lessons are tailored to the individual. So let's get your Maths (or Stats) back on track! What are you waiting for?
